Your Sons Are Watching

You know it. You feel it every time you promise your son you’ll be at the game and you’re not. Every time you say “next weekend,” and next weekend becomes next month. Every time you tell yourself you’re grinding for them while you barely see them. You already know they’re watching. The question is what they’re seeing.

The Lie Every Dad Tells Himself

The lie sounds responsible…  like a sacrifice. I’m building something for them. I’ll make it up when the business is stable. I’ll be there more when things slow down. You’ve said all three and honestly, so have I. But we both know that things don’t ever really slow down. The business continues to fluctuate. There is no version of your life where the calendar clears, and you can finally get to be the father you keep promising to become. There is only the man you are being today, in front of your son, whether you’re present or not. You think you have a time problem when you have a decision problem.

4AM in Monaco

Last month, I was on the balcony of a hotel room in Monaco at 4 a.m. Couldn’t sleep. So I did what I do. I picked up my phone and filmed a video for my son. Told him I love him, that I’m proud of him, and reminded him who he is. I do this all the time with all of my kids. I try to never go more than a day without sending them words of affirmation. Not because I’m a great dad but because I know exactly what it’s like to not have one. My father split when I was a freshman in high school. He wasn’t around at all and I didn’t have a man speaking life into me. I didn’t have someone pointing the way, so I had to build my own confidence, chart my own course, and figure this whole game out on my own. Some of you know what this is like and truly know the struggle of figuring something out you shouldn’t have to. So when I speak to my kids, I’m not performing,  I’m pro-actively rewriting a story I lived and giving my sons what I never got. This is why I speak life into them daily. This is why I invest in them heavily. This is why I never quit because I know they are watching. If I don’t ruthlessly speak life into them, who will? Who is speaking into your kid’s life right now?

3 Ways to Speak Life Into Your Sons This Week

Here’s where you begin.
  1. Text the words. Today.
Not tonight, not tomorrow, now. Pick up your phone and tell your son what you see in him. Not “love you, buddy.” Something specific. “I saw how you handled that at practice. That was a man’s move.” One text. Every day. No exceptions.
  1. Sit down face-to-face. Weekly.
No phones. No TV. No agenda. Twenty minutes. Ask him what he’s carrying, then shut up and listen. Your son needs to know he can come to you and just be heard without getting a lecture or critiques.
  1. Let him watch you fail and get back up.
This is the one nobody wants to do. Stop hiding your struggles from him. I’m serious, let him see you get knocked down at work, let him see you deal with it, and then let him see the fire in your eyes when you refuse to quit. That’s one of of those life lessons that sticks with them.

The Final Thought

We can’t tell them to dream while we live a chaotic nightmare. We cannot tell them to shoot for the stars while we chill in the streets. We cannot preach honor and integrity from behind a phone screen we hide behind. Our sons will become who we are. No amount of money you leave them when you die will compensate for you not being there today. No inheritance, trust fund, or business you built in their name. Nothing. I get that that’s a big hard pill, swallow it anyway. The greatest failure I can imagine is looking back and realizing I failed the thing I loved most. I refuse for that to be my son’s story, and you should too.

Andrew Tate Isn’t the Problem

I read what you read. I know what you know. Listen guys, I’ve never personally met Andrew Tate. I don’t have insider information and I don’t have any legal standing on what he’s accused of. Do I agree with a lot of what he says? Absolutely. Do I disagree with a lot of what he says? Absolutely. But that’s besides the point I want to make here. The real conversation everyone keeps dodging, because it’s easier to point at a guy on YouTube than at the man in the mirror, is this one: Do you know why Andrew Tate is winning your son? Because your son is fatherless… Even if you live in the same house.

A Nation of Absent Fathers Who Never Left

Young men need heroes, they need an idol. They need someone to look at and think, that is who I want to be. Someone to inspire them, someone to mirror, someone to emulate. A majority of dads in this country are none of that. A majority of men in this country stand for nothing. Overweight. Zero drive. Zero tenacity. Zero ruthless ambition. Butter soft hands. Emotionless. Lethargic. Complacent. More invested in fantasy football than in building a fantasy life for the family they claim they love. Then their son opens YouTube, TikTok, X, whatever the algorithm is serving that week, and he hears a man. An actual man. Loud, ambitious, hungry, unafraid, shooting fire from his eyes and wizardry from his tongue. Guess who the boy attaches to? Not the guy sipping coffee out of a “World’s Greatest Dad” mug he didn’t earn.

The Vacuum Your Son Is Filling

Your son doesn’t have a Tate problem he has a father problem. Tate is filling the role you walked out of, even if you never packed a bag. You think because your seed made this kid, he is going to worship you? While you call a forty-hour work week difficult? While you outsource your family’s safety to 911? While you have never put head gear on with him and taught him what it feels like to take a punch and get back up? You handed him an iPad to shut him up. You handed him YouTube to babysit him. Then you got mad about what he found there. He found everything you aren’t. He found a stranger giving him a feeling of fire, direction, and identity that he has never once felt from you. That’s on you. If Tate is your son’s idol, you have failed as a father. Yup, I said it.

3 Ways to Become the Man Your Son Actually Follows

Enough diagnosis. Move.
  1. Get in shape. Starting this week. Your son is watching you eat, drink, and quit on your own body every day. You cannot preach discipline from behind a gut you’ve made with bad habits. Train. Lift. Walk. Jujitsu. Whatever the entry point is, take it this week. Let him see you sweat.
  2. Teach him something hard. In person. Pick one skill this month and put in the reps with him, shoulder to shoulder. How to throw a punch. How to shake a man’s hand. How to change a tire. How to talk to a girl with respect. How to lose without whining. Concrete. Physical. Repeated.
  3. Kill the iPad. Take the time back. Every hour the screen has him is an hour you gave up. So I’m challenging you to cut screen time in half this week and fill the gap with you.
Walks. Drives. Meals with no phones on the table. You don’t need a play by play, you just need to be present, and you need to have something to say when you get there. Three moves. This month. Not next year.

The Final Thought

Blaming Andrew Tate is the softest move a father can make. It is a way of saying someone else stole my son when the reality is you handed him over years ago. One skipped bedtime. One silent dinner. One absent Saturday at a time. Your son is not confused, your son is starving. He is starving for a man to look at and say, I want to be that. You get to decide, today, whether that man is you or a stranger on the internet. There is no third option. A frumpy, mini van dad who has never fought for anything is not going to raise a lion. He is going to raise another sheep. Or worse, he is going to raise a boy who spends the rest of his life looking for his father in every strong man he meets online. Break the pattern in your house this week.

If Nothing Changes, Nothing Changes

Let me hit you with something obvious that most people still ignore.

If nothing changes, nothing changes.

You’ve heard it before. Maybe even said it.
But have you ever actually lived it?

Because that line, as simple as it sounds, might be the very thing holding you back.

You Say You Want Change. Do You Really?

You say you want more.
More money. More peace. More connection. More momentum.
But every day you do the exact same sh*t.
Same patterns. Same habits. Same thoughts.

You want a new result without changing the process.

That’s like going to the gym, doing curls with the same ten-pound dumbbells for a year, and wondering why your arms aren’t getting bigger.

The reason you’re still stuck is because you’re still the same.

You’re waiting on life to change, but life is waiting on you to.

Comfort Is a Killer

Let’s be real.

You don’t change because change is uncomfortable.
Because it’s easier to stay where you are than risk what’s next.

But that comfort you’re clinging to?
That’s the exact reason you’re miserable.

Growth doesn’t come with a guarantee.
But staying the same comes with a cost.
And you’re already paying it.

Every time you silence your intuition.
Every time you procrastinate the thing that would move you forward.
Every time you choose distraction over discipline.

You’re choosing comfort over power.

Change Is a Decision Before It’s a Result

You think you need more time.
More resources. More motivation. More certainty.

You don’t.

You need a decision.

One real decision.

Not a New Year’s resolution.
Not a vision board.
Not a “someday I’ll do it.”

A line-in-the-sand moment.
A burn-the-boats move.
A “never f
*ing again” level shift.

You know exactly where in your life you’re coasting.
You know exactly what needs to change.

So stop acting like you don’t.

🔧 3 Tactical Ways to Actually Make the Shift:

1. Change Your Environment Before You Change Your Outcome
You keep trying to change your life while staying around the same people, in the same habits, in the same room.
That’s why it’s not working.
Change your surroundings and your results will follow.

2. Break One Pattern a Day
You don’t need to flip your life overnight.
Start small.
Wake up earlier. Say no when you usually say yes.
Go to the gym instead of scrolling.
Interrupt the loop and the system breaks.

3. Track Actions, Not Feelings
You won’t feel like changing.
So stop waiting to feel ready.
Measure what you do, not how you feel.
You can’t argue with data. And the numbers don’t lie.

Final Thought:

You don’t need a new plan.
You don’t need to be more motivated.
You don’t need to wait until Monday.

You need to move.
You need to shift.
You need to do one thing today that’s different than yesterday.

Because if nothing changes,
you already know what happens.

And if you don’t want that?
Then start proving it.

Today.

They Don’t Even Like Themselves. So Why Are You Trying to Impress Them?

They Don’t Even Like Themselves. So Why Are You Trying to Impress Them?

Let me say something that might hit a little harder than you’re ready for.

Most people don’t even like who they are.
But you’re still trying to get them to like you?

That’s the game you’re playing?

That’s the approval you’re chasing?

You’re molding yourself to fit into their boxes.
You’re watering yourself down to earn their praise.
You’re filtering your truth to stay acceptable to people who are secretly breaking inside.

Look around.

We’ve never had more people on anxiety meds, antidepressants, sleeping pills, and dopamine apps.
We’ve never had more emotional chaos, mental numbness, or identity confusion.

And yet we’re still trying to be liked by the masses?

The same masses who are medicating themselves just to feel okay?

You’ve gotta wake up.

You’re not here to be liked.
You’re here to become something powerful.

Fitting In Is Killing You

Let’s call it what it is.

The desire to fit in is making you soft.
The desire to be accepted is keeping you average.
The desire to be liked is crushing your truth.

You’re losing yourself in the name of being digestible.

And the truth is, no matter how much you filter, flex, or fake it…
they still won’t give you what you’re looking for.

Because they don’t have it.

They don’t have peace.
They don’t have identity.
They don’t have self-respect.

So how the hell can they give it to you?

You vs. You

When it really comes down to it, it’s not about them at all.

It’s you versus you.

Your clarity.
Your choices.
Your focus.
Your future.

You’re not in competition with anybody.
You’re in a battle with the part of you that still thinks other people’s opinions matter more than your own.

That’s the only war worth fighting.

3 Tactical Ways to Reclaim Your Power:

1. Cut the Comparison Triggers
Unfollow anyone who makes you feel small.
Mute the noise. Get out of their highlight reel and back into your own life.

2. Ask Yourself This Question Daily:
“Am I doing this for me or for them?”
If it’s not aligned with your vision, it’s a distraction. Kill it.

3. Say the Truth Out Loud
Even if your voice shakes.
Even if no one claps.
Even if it’s uncomfortable.
The moment you stop filtering is the moment you start leading.

Final Thought:

You were not born to blend in.
You were not built to be background noise.
You’re here to do something real.

But you can’t do that while trying to be liked by people who don’t even like themselves.

Let them scroll. Let them judge. Let them stay lost.

You’ve got work to do.
You’ve got a war to win.
You’ve got a life to build.

And it starts the second you stop giving a f* about what they think.**

Let’s go.
